Little Miss H. and the gang!

Meet this little cutie and you’ll see why I’ve fallen in love with her! I met Little Miss H. only through our photo sessions, and she sure has grown on me! She also has an adorable brand new baby sister, a set of pretty awesome parents, and a friend named Rosie that she is quite attached to! We had a lot of fun together during this shoot, and playing and interacting with this 2 year old reminded me of why I started in this business–I wanted to capture those adorable expressions! Here’s Cassie!

Meet Cassie, another bright and beautiful Class of 2012 senior ! I met Cassie through our dance studio, and tonight and tomorrow we will watch once again as she graces the stage with her amazing talent! We had a fun time in a nearby Colorado Springs canyon–a favorite settings for seniors around here. We ran through the frigid creek on uneven rocks, watched for snakes and other scary creatures in the grass, and really just had a lot fun! Have I mentioned that I LOVE seniors? Cassie is no exception!

Melanie and Tyler!

Meet Melanie and Tyler, two new seniors for the class of 2012! Another fun and energetic session, these two were fun, playful, confident, and loved the camera. Can you tell? Introducing the class of 2012!

Meet Ben. Smart, handsome, and sweet as pie…what more could you ask for?

We decided to go out to the train tracks near downtown Colorado Springs to get a kind of urban/grungy/boy feel for Ben’s senior pictures. He was adamant not to take his picture by a tree, mostly because apparently, everyone does that! Although trees have their place in my work, the rusty trains provided some relief from that monotony for Ben, and all was good in his world! Ben was great to work with, easygoing, calm, and quite charming, actually! I absolutely love working with these senior kiddos because of their very nature, and this was no different! So, thanks to Ben for once again reminding me of why I love my job!

I am still in 2010…with my blogging! The year ended with a bang and plenty to keep me busy–besides Christmas and vacation for the kids! I thought I would update by starting with my last senior of 2010, beautiful Erin! We were waiting for snow…snow in Colorado Springs has been rare this winter, so when it did snow near Manitou, we scrambled to get our schedules together so that the white stuff could adorn some of Erin’s pictures…I think her toes were pretty frozen solid by the end of our time together, but it was worth it, don’t you think?

Winter Wonderland

Congratulations, you found me! Thanks for visiting my brand new blog! After several years of trying, I finally figured out how to get my blog up and running! My secret? I hired someone! Thank you, Adrienne LaMilza and JR Customization, for an awesome new website and blog! I am in in love!

So, where to begin? I have tens of thousands of images on my computer, and many of them blog-worthy–in fact, every one of my sessions has been blog-worthy! I think I may have just made up a new word…(: Anyways, I decided to start my blog with one of my latest sessions in 2010–meet the Hale/Madrid family!

Freezing! I will say it again, it was FREEZING! Well, actually, it was below freezing and close to or under 0 degrees. It was a beautiful landscape, though, and I am glad my friend Dana and her kids were brave enough to come outside with me…we got some amazing shots!
